Enjoying the taste of Italy with a Big Boy Italiano sandwich from Little Italy.
Not everyone can enjoy summer in Italy, so a Barnum-based food truck brings the flavors around the Northland.
The Big Boy Italiano sandwich is their bestseller, piled with ham, salami, pepperoni, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncinis, and a homemade “Big Boy Mayo.”
“This stuff is the bomb,” Jake Kissane said as he garnished the sandwich.
Little Italy started as a brick-and-mortar shop at the Carlton County Fairgrounds.
“We wanted to still have it kind of an Italian street fair food … so we could get the speed out and stuff but offer people more cross between what you would find in a food truck and what you would find in a restaurant. So somewhere in that middle ground,” Owner Brigham Fanning said. “And still give them great value for their money and give them options, because most food trailers only have a handful of options.”
Little Italy’s menu has everything from sandwiches to pasta to pizza.
They’re serving in Moose Lake for Agate Days.
