Let’s make the most random dinner together and I’m going to tell you how I learned how to cook and then you’re going to have to let me know how you learned how to cook. So, growing up, we did things a little differently. And it’s funny because my mom will randomly ask like, “How did you learn how to cook?” Because growing up, we didn’t really sit down and eat dinner together as a family very often. And it was just because of our busy schedules. I have two younger siblings and we were all in sports and of course they were all on different nights. I did competitive cheerleading growing up and I was usually always on two teams. So, I would have practice about three times a week. So, usually when I get done with school, it was kind of just like grab what you can really quick. I’m not saying they never did make dinner, but we never really had time to like sit down and eat together. And then once I started driving, I was going to like Jack in the Crack like every single day with my husband. That was my boyfriend at the time. So, growing up, I never really had somebody teach me how to cook. I just rely on the internet. I used to pin a whole bunch of recipes on Pinterest. And now I have a little folder in my TikTok for like food inspiration. And the problem about me is that I will watch a video, I won’t write anything down, and I just try and recreate it. I just wing it. But honestly, I’m still learning.

  1. Love your videos always make me smile every day

  2. My mom could cook but wasn’t a chief by any means but I loved watching foodnetwork with my dad(who was disabled most my life) that and loving cooking for those I love is where I get it from. It’s definitely how I show love

  3. I learned from my parents. Cooked with them both whenever I could between practices for my school hockey and travel hockey teams. I’m very proud but not totally stoked to say I cook pretty much every meal in our house and my two little kids are as good as little sous chefs lol.

  4. You do really well! I’m not a good cook at all. I can bake most things though, but cooking a meal? Nope. 👎🏻 Not good at it. My grandmother is the best cook I know. She’s been trying to teach me how so I’m hopeful I’ll pick up a few good tips and tricks! It just seems so intimidating to me for some reason!

  5. Stashcook has become my ultimate alltime favorite recipe for everything go to!! ❤❤ can use for free or can pay for the full

  6. ok wait but why are you actually like my favorite person to watch when they’re cooking! ❤ everything you make looks so good!

  7. You assume most Hispanics/mexicans know how to cook but I mixed do not my dad was the cook and I never realized that till him and my mom broke up and now as an adult I just have to keep retrying recipes till I get it right my mom survived she wasn’t a good cook so I don’t care to ask I already know all that I want true home cooking soul food for my family and I’m going to figure it out myself on the internet 😊😂

  8. I was in the kitchen helping my mother when I was 5. Moved in with my dad when I was 14 and started watching and helping him. Moved out when I was 17 and really had to learn. Lol

  9. Nothing against my mom but she wasn’t the greatest cook. In her defense my grandma never taught her because my grandma was…I wouldn’t say controlling but she had to do everything her way. So she never let anyone help her cook. So when I was around 12 I decided I was going to learn to cook so I started watching the food network. And now I’m 33 and rarely use a recipe for anything more than inspiration. I just get the just of what I need to do and I make it and I won’t say I’m amazing but I’m pretty decent at least lol

  10. I learned how to cook the same way!! Lots of reading recipes and tips and tricks. When my husband and I moved into our first apartment I could not cook. i could always bake really good but cooking was not my thing. I tried my best but it did not turn out good. Over the years I got better and better and now I pretty much cook everything from scratch. I absolutely love being in the kitchen creating yummy goodness. Everyone tells me to sell my baked goods and food now, which really makes me proud of all of the time I put in to being a better cook. Now I can’t even eat out at restaurants because most of the time it’s not exactly how I imagined it and know I could’ve made it for less money at home and it would’ve turned out better.

  11. I love your videos, but the only thing that bothers me is your open hair. I know you’re comfortable with it so I’m not gonna say much😂

  12. I HATE BAKED/FRIED CAULIFLOWER. IT TASTES BITTER. I PREFER IT IN A RICE FORM OR
STEAMED. PS…..I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE CAULIFLOWER RICE, AND CAULIFLOWER PIZZA!

  13. Learning how to cook is one of the best life skills anyone can learn, you dont need to be the best just good enough where your food doesn't have you fighting for your life on the toilet😅

  14. I learned from my great grandmother on pies and her delicious Oklahoma style chili and pan cornbread. Eventually when I was in 7th grade, I took home economics and started making my family meals. I took it again in 11th grade and loved it. Now I love to learn new dishes and is more of a baker and have learned through a lot of trial and error.

  15. A lot of the women in my life (mom and both grandmas) always allowed me to help in the kitchen, and I would also just watch and talk with them. A lot of bonding and memories. Then I got to an age where I wanted to figure things out myself, so my mom always told me, "Absolutely as long as you clean up after yourself." At my bio dad's I didn't have a choice so I had to learn pretty quickly or I wouldn't eat. I started cooking for myself pretty regularly by the time I was about 16! Now, at almost 30, I'm tired of trying to figure out dinner every night lol but Trial and error is a huge part of cooking but if you can read a recipe, you can figure it out <3

  16. How I leaned is when I was about 7 and older I was only aloud to use the toaster and that was it and then around 9 I got taught how to cook eggs and then from 9-10 half I just leaned by myself and I and 11 now and cook dinners on Saturday for a family of 5

  17. the algo first sent me your videos a few years ago when you didn't have a blackstone and you were making working mom routines…now that i'm seeing them again it's amazing seeing how far you've come out of your shell and let your personality shine! go tori! 💗

  18. Hey, OK so the way I learned how to cook was watching my parents cook and then I started gradually doing it starting at the age of seven and then when the Food Network started coming on I started watching the Food Network and then that’s where I learned more recipes and that’s when you know I kinda kept watching what they did and I remembered how to do it and then I hit high school and then I took Home back Cooking course or the cooking classes in high school there’s that and then also you know watching YouTube videos you know I know that stuff so I’ve learned from a lot of different sources and stuff like that and now I love you know I love to cook I make my own recipes and I have so many recipes saved. It’s like ridiculous. I even have a box of recipes that I used to I used to get a subscription for the top of my head. I can’t remember what the name of it was, but I think it was good home or something I got it was a I had a subscription to it and I have so many the boxes is so full and I’m in the process of saving my other recipes that I have so in general come to realize I think right now I am at about probably 500 recipes which is ridiculous but anyways, I haven’t tried them all all of them yet but some of them I have and you know what they are so good so yeahthat’s the way I learned how to cook basically, I love your videos❤ oh and also I was also learn how to cook through Pinterest as well so yeah

  19. It is funny that you made buffalo cauliflower. I have never had it before but just said I want to look up the recipe and try it. Thanks. I can't wait to taste it.

  20. I kind of know how to cook cuz my mom helped me a little bit please sit down and eat at our house and I just started cooking and I make good meals now

  21. I actually used to hate cooking, but I’ve always loved baking! I got into cooking a couple years ago and I love it now! I love being able to cook for my family and I find it so fun and relaxing now. I pretty much learned from Natasha’s Kitchen here on yt, her recipes are amazing, especially for beginners!

  22. So many god damn bugs around even the house. That’s the only thing that’s crappy about the Midwest. Spider, a beetle, a pincher and sometimes a centipede

  23. My grandma raised me so she would cook a lot everyday we had a buffet of Mexican food from meals to choose from but she refused to give me any recipes because those are her secret she also told me she didn’t know how to cook because she was to poor growing up and her mom couldn’t handle risking it not having dinner to make. When I moved out I would eat at my grandmas house but I started to help her around the kitchen and started remembering her ingredients and I started to experiment after burning and crying every meal I am an ok cook
