Description “Large Green Egg in great condition. Deflector plates and cover included”
Only thing it needs is new gaskets according to the listing. Thoughts?

Yeah dude. If the ceramic is good (ie isn’t cracked), everything else can be replaced and a new one is like 1100 bucks. Gaskets are cheap. I’d also replace that chimney personally for asthetic reasons and get a cover to prevent more rust but that’s a good deal to me

Do it. You may not have the lifetime warranty but the gasket kit is cheap and easy to do. I cooked for years with a pretty much nonexistent gasket. More important if you’re trying to do low 225° and slow. Edit: that’s the old style hinge. Make sure it doesn’t have an over or under bite closed (how the top and bottom line up).

Yep

It’s a shame they left the daisy wheel out in the elements. I keep mine inside with the rest of my cast iron. But if nothing is cracked then it’s a good deal.

No cracks = absolutely.

$300 would be better in that condition but $400 isn’t terrible

I vote yes the rings look good you can re season that daisy wheel if you want its cast iron put some oil on it. If no cracks or chips its good to go.
