I mean…so good. I make mine with homemade milk kefir which imparts a buttermilk flavor. I like to top mine with butter and maple cream.

There is NO better pancake!! These are a game changer

  3. That is literally the best thing I make with starter- including bread itself.

Just made some as one of my safe foods while navigating a pancreatitis flare!! Such a comfort food when things are very limited 💙

Yes: discard pancakes with good maple syrup and a side of quality bacon

Exactly this was my breakfast this morning….i can’t eat regular pancakes anymore, these are so good!

Truth. I may never buy another box of aunt jemima or whatever it’s called now.

It’s only called discard because it was selected to be part of the amount to be thrown away to keep from overflowing haha. It’s still perfectly useful, just has a bad name. I just feel bad for the poor discard

I’ve never had sourdough pancakes, but I think you just inspired me. Thank you

Sourdough pancakes hit nostalgia hard and bring me back to my childhood. My grandparents made hundreds of them for family reunions. One of the big differences they did was using evaporated milk. It was always a very loose batter and the size of silver dollars. You could eat 10 of them and not even notice.

Can y’all recommend some recipes for pancake recipes you like? I have made discard pancakes 4 times and frankly they were not good.
