  6. The cook is spot on. What you did to it afterwards is an atrocity.

  7. Since I like rare, I’d select the pieces farthest left. It looks less done than the pieces on the right. Perhaps due to one side being slightly thicker, or one side got more heat. They look very good. Do you prefer plain butter on top instead of compound?
