Okay. Not in my face. Yeah. Where you going, baby? Come here. Yeah. Good morning, everybody. Having a nice cup. Come here, baby. Come. Where you going? Come here. The toys are up here. Silly girls. Silly girls. All right. Yeah. Don’t these girls look fabulous? Look at that. Look at that. Look how fabulous they are. And angel. Look at her skin. Her skin looks like a giraffe or a cow or something. But man, are they they’re just like little living plush toys. They’re so Yeah, you too. You’re coming. You’re next. Yeah. They’re so soft and velvety. It’s so wonderful. Such a pleasure to hug and kiss and everything like that. Yeah, they love it. Yeah. What you doing? What you doing? You little monkeys. You little monkeys. Yeah. No hair up my nose or in my face or anything. Yeah. Yeah. It’s so much better. So much better. Yeah. Yeah. Look at you. Look at you. Yeah. Yeah. They only got trimmed three days ago. Yeah. Now they’re going to play now that we’ve got them all excited. Eh. Yeah. Anyway, this is kind of interesting. I just thought of it. You know, I keep calling them the girls, but when you think about it, baby here, she’s 8 years old now. No, eight years old. She’s actually eight and a half. Those are bandanas from the trimming. Yeah, she’s eight and a half. So, she’s really not a girl anymore. She’s kind of like an adult. E Well, she is an adult. And uh an angel. She’s three and a half, so she’s not really that that much of a puppy anymore. I know it’s cute calling them the girls, but uh really it’s uh if they understood it, they might be insulted. You never know. Cuz basically, they’re ladies. They’re ladies now. Yeah. You’re a lady now. You’re a lady. Yeah. That’s why I should be calling them the ladies, not the girls. I just thought that was kind of cute. But I think I’ll still call them the girls. It’s I think it just sounds cool. The girls. You’re the girls. Yeah, you’re the girls. You want to play? You want to play? You want to play? Yeah. So, yeah, they’re so nice to snuggle with now. So much better than that. I should have actually taken the uh my bedding and did it in the laundry too, but I just I could only do one load. It was so hot and everything, but I took Wow, it’s nice and breezy here, isn’t it? Beautiful. Feels good, doesn’t it? We’re in the shade. A nice breeze going. Well, you can see I still got my socks up there from 3 days ago. They’re probably dry now. I just I’ve been really lazy and that. So, yeah. But yeah, you girls are the ladies. You girls are the ladies. Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Yes, you little monkey. You little monkey. You little monkey. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right in my face. Right in my face. Yeah. Ouch. Ow. Watch it. You still got You got your nails trimmed, but you still got nails. And they’re hurt. They hurt. Oh. Ah, that’s good stuff. Good stuff. Okay. Well, they’re going to sit and play a bit. They’re just like best little buddies. Mother and daughter, but they’re best little buddies. And they play all the time. Yeah. Best little friends. Yeah. Look at that. Yeah. That’s so wonderful. Now, don’t forget to be ladylike, girls. Wonderful. They’re going to put a show on for you. How nice. How nice. Yeah, that’s great. But yeah, it’s nice here with the wind breeze going. Pretty windy and breezy. Yeah. Anyway, I thought you’d find this a bit interesting, maybe. I don’t know. But, uh, here we got here. I don’t know what if they do anything like this in your neck of the woods, wherever you are, but they’ve got this all over Vancouver Island, everywhere you go. All the McDonald’s, uh, Burger King, Wendy’s, all the fast food places have this, and all the smaller, uh, smaller businesses will have this most of the time if they advertise here. Um, but they’re all over Vancouver Island. And now, and as I come over here, I realize they’re all over British Columbia, everywhere. So, I don’t know the rest of Canada or not, but anyway, this is called the coffee news. The coffee news. So all around the outside here they advertise all the uh local businesses in your area and every little area like Naimo will have one for Naimo. Qualcomm will have one for Qualcomm Parksville and over here this one’s Carameas Olala and soy use and stuff but it has their local area local businesses in the neighborhood. They all advertise on here but it’s cool. It’s like you sit down with your I don’t know, let’s say your uh breakfast sandwich or whatever at wherever you’re going and having a coffee and uh you sit there and it’s got the horoscope here. Gives you a horoscope. It’s got did you know? And it gives you some interesting trivial facts and stuff like that. And then on the lighter side and it tells some jokes here like uh the rubber man tried to join the circus but he got bounced. They got that. They got uh it’s called Everybody’s Talking and it’s all just different uh interesting trivial stuff that you may never have known about before. But uh yeah, and then they have quotable quotes. Uh progress is not achieved by luck or accident but by working on yourself daily. Yeah. Stuff like that. And then they have local um uh what do you call it? Uh local events. Local events. what’s going on like whether they’re having a similamine sizzle uh on this date and you know some other event on another date but it’s all just about your local stuff. Anyway, I’m getting a bit uh long- winded on this. Oh, another thing too is they have really cool. This is probably my favorite part. Maybe most people’s favorite. They have five questions here. Trivial questions or trivia questions. Uh like how many bones are in the human knee? Four. This poetic form of Japanese or origin has 17 syllables. Hiku. The Mississippi River is considered the muddiest river in the world. True or false? False. It’s a yellow river. Which tropical breakfast fruit has over 1,000 varieties worldwide? Banana. What sport was first known as aquaplaning? Water skiing. And then what you do is you you read the questions there and then they got them. So you flip it up back this way and the answers are on the other side there. And yeah, it’s kind of cool. Anyway, I’m getting longwinded again. But the thing that reason I pulled this out was cuz uh where are we here? couple of videos ago, maybe two or three videos ago, I did a really nice uh uh maple garlic ginger barbecue pork tenderloin. I did that recipe there for dinner and I’d never, you know, usually it’s like um uh honey garlic uh ribs or honey garlic pork, honey garlic beef, honey honey something honey in in your food, right? and you a bunch of food. And I never really seen anyone anywhere do uh maple syrup instead of honey kind of thing. And not that I was the first one to ever do it, but I did that the maple syrup on the uh tenderloin there, the pork tenderloin. Anyway, I just I picked this up and I was reading it cuz I was kind of bored one day and I thought, yeah, I like to look it over and just see what’s going on there. You learn some interesting new stuff once in a while. But anyway, there’s a recipe here on there and uh it says the recipe of the month, maple grilled pork chops. So, what they’ve done is they take uh maple syrup and balsamic vinegar. I love balsamic vinegar. Oh, so tasty. Especially the more aged it is, the more delicious it is and and the sweeter it gets. But anyway, maple syrup and balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, and that’s about it. And then they get boneless pork loin chops, and then of course you um excuse me, mix all the ingredients together except for the pork in a shallow bowl. And uh you put the pork in there and you uh soak them and flip them over. And then you can put them in the fridge for about an hour or 2 hours, whatever, overnight if you want to. Just soak them in the stuff. And then uh then you go to cook the pork chops and you take the marinade, you you start cooking them like they say you can do them either grill them if you want or you can do them in the oven and um broil them. But, you know, either way, you cook start cooking your pork chops and then you use the leftover uh marinade for um for basting it and then you flip them over, baste it again. Flip them over and baste it. Anyway, I thought I’ll try this with another um when I get some more pork, I’m going to try this recipe uh using the maple syrup and the balsamic vinegar because it actually sounds like it’d be really good. So, I just I just found that interesting. I just finished doing a video on maple syrup pork and here’s maple grilled pork. Thought it was great. But yeah, I’m going to try that. Obviously, I’m going to put garlic in there. Got to have garlic. Garlic’s a food group. So, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper, and garlic. I don’t think I’ll put the ginger in that one because I’m not sure how the ginger and the balsamic will go together, but I’m going to try it first without just the maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, and garlic. Try that first, see what I think of it, and then maybe another time I’ll try with the ginger. But yeah, I just thought that was interesting. So, uh, just a new recipe for me, a modification onto the one I already did. And it sounds delicious. Sounds absolutely delicious. So, I’m going to try that out one time. But yeah, that’s the coffee news. The coffee news. Anyway, there you go. There you go. So, what do you girls want to do today? What do you girls want to do today? Huh? You want to play and run around in the field and everything like you always do and have fun? Yeah. It’s a dog’s life. It’s a dog’s life. You guys get all the fun and I do all the work. How’s that? How’s that? Huh? How’s that monkeys? That didn’t go too far. Boof. Oh, yeah. So, another day. Another day. Yeah. We haven’t got any plans for today. What are we going to do? We got to think up something, right? We got to think up something. Oh, you’re so soft and velvety. You’re so soft. Looking long hair came from somewhere. Oo. M. You’re so soft and velvety, both of you. Yes, you are. Oh, they’re so nice to to touch and rub and feel and rub my face in their skin and fur, whatever. Hair. Oh, yeah. Whoops. Somebody lost something. Someone lost something. There you go. There you go. All right. Just about done my coffee here. So when that’s done, we got to do something, right? Oh, yeah. I have to remember to go to the pharmacy. The pharmacy. Pick up my stuff. Yeah. Other than that, we’re wide open, right? We’re wide open. Yeah. Ah, now that I’m thinking of it, another thing I’ve been doing, uh, this year in the summer in the heat, um, you know, I try and cook dinner and stuff and, you know, it’s really hot and even in a shady spot if it’s still so hot out that the shade doesn’t keep you cool. Um, it’s really hard to cook dinner, like throw the stove on and make more heat and cook anything at that time. So, what I’ve been doing lately is I will get up in the morning and I’ll decide what I what I’m going to give the girls for dinner and what I’m going to have for my dinner. And let’s say I’m going to give them liver tonight. So, I’ll get up in the morning and I’ll cook all the liver while it’s nice. We’re in the shade, the wind’s blowing like this and it’s still nice and cool enough. Cook all the liver up, let it cool down, goes in the fridge. Then later up later on for their dinner, I just pull it out, chop it up because they actually seem to prefer cold meat anyway. And uh they don’t seem to care whether it’s hot or whatever. Sometimes if it’s a little too warm, they just leave it, let it sit there, and then they’ll come back 10 minutes later and start chowing down. But um yeah, it’s a lot better that way. Cook it. And for me, I actually prefer cold meat anyway. I don’t really care if it’s a really really good steak and it’s really done properly and really like gourmet. Sure, like nice and warm right out of the pan is good. You know, it’s it’s tasty and wonderful and all that, but yeah, I I actually prefer most of my meat cold anyway. Um leftover like I’ll cook up hamburger and I’ll throw it in a bowl and throw it in the fridge and then bring it out later and just eat cold hamburger. Maybe I might fry a couple of eggs or something or boil a couple eggs or whatever and that’ll be the most I’ll do for cooking. Um cuz eggs are really fast and quick and you just zap zap, they’re done and turn the stove off. But um but yeah, I don’t mind all my meat cold. I actually kind of prefer it and um especially depending on what it is like uh like marinated pork or anything like that or any marinated uh beef or whatever. Uh it’s really nice when it’s cooled down and everything’s gelled. All the fats are gelled and everything and you can slice it a lot easier cuz it’s firm. Nice thin slices and stuff and oh my god it’s it’s good that way. So that’s what we’ve been doing. just cook all our dinners in the morning when we get up when it’s nice and cool and then we eat them when they’re cold, right? What do you want? What do you want? What do you want? Look at you. Look at you. Look at you, baby. Yes. You’re so cute. You’re so cute. Oh, ouch. That hurts sometimes. Be careful. Be careful. There you go. There you go. Be careful of those little nails you use. They scratch. They scratch. Yeah. Okay. Well, I’m almost done here. So, uh I guess next thing is is uh we’ll just get up and go running around the grassy field there. Eh, and then uh maybe go to the store. Yeah. And then maybe come back and do some more running around the field. Yeah. It’s going to be another really hot one again. We’re We’re still going through a bit of a heat wave here. I was thinking of trying to go in up fishing. Maybe try some bass fishing, but even still, it’s it’s all out in the open. Like, there’s no real shade and and if there’s shade and trees there, you it’s hard to cast anyway. But I was thinking of going up there and trying that out, but we’ll see. I don’t know yet. I don’t know yet. All right, I’m done this now. So, uh, let’s get you girls outside onto the field, run around, and then we’ll go to the store. Okay. All right. Okay. Let’s go. [Music] I couldn’t. [Music] Everything. [Music]
