Cocina Hermanos Torres in Barcelona was on my list for a while, so when in Barcelona for Disfrutar I decided to add a reservation for here as well. (1 day break in between the two)
Absolutley amazing location, after feeling a little cramped in at my table in Disfrutar two days before, here was literally polar opposite, the location here is incredible, massive tables with an unreal amount of space between them, and of course the open kitchen in the middle, sometimes in between courses just to sit back and relax and gaze at all that was happening around you was incredible. One of the twin brothers came to greet us at the start and was very friendly, we asked could we have a photo with him later in the meal, but he had left, so if you do want a photo with him, get it early.
1)it starts off with a mock tail made tableside, siracha and vegetables were main ingredients
2 & 3)The welcome snacks, all solid. Wouldn't have said no to a few more though!
4)their famous version of surf and turf, always on the menu, cold chicken consume, marinated calamari, and topped with some caviar. nice, not in the top 4 or 5 for me though
5)this was great. Marinated fish, razor clams, clams, more caviar
6)another incredible dish, spider crab, white prawns, green tomato, picked cumumber. Two incredible dishes in a row
7)lovely dish too. Crayfish type prawn with a great sauce. Fermented limón and marrow sauce
8)incredible dish. Dry aged rubia gallega beef, on smoked eggplant. The flavour off that matured beef was insane.
9)fish main course. Another massive highlight, brill fish, that sauce was incredible, and how the fish was cooked too.
10)minature lamb taco before the meat dish
11)main meat dish, solid. Lamb
12)cherry, rocket sorbet wild almonds.
13) their version of pina colada.
14) a whole lot of chocolate. Great stuff
15)the famous chocolate bonbon box
16)the chocolate bite inside.
17) petit fours. All great.
All in all an excellent experience, well worthy of 3 stars and the international attention it's starting to pick up, service was great, very friendly staff, and a nice relaxed atmosphere inside.
They'll try and upsell a lot with drinks (polar opposite of Disfrutar, who didn't even ask if we wanted a welcome drink when we arrived) and when you pay the bill, the machine will have the do you want to add a tip and what percentage amount, so be ready, in my semi drunken state I wasn't prepared and hit a higher percentage than necessary,.
also, they offered us a cocktail at the end, and we said no, so we weren't invited to the new cigar room next lounge next door, although I can't say for sure if accepting the cocktail would have got us an invite or no

This looks like a great meal! I want to try rocket sorbet! I half-way regret canceling my reservation last week, but we had eaten at Les Grandes Buffets and CdCR in the few days prior and I just didn’t think my stomach could handle it. (Ended up going to a relatively casual Turkish place near our hotel called Ali Ocakbasi, which didn’t disappoint!)
You can just ask to go to the cigar room.
I dined here in at the end of June (also did Disfrutar). And I gotta say it’s my favorite three star I’ve been to so far. Service in my opinion was outstanding. Best to date. I had no idea there was a cigar room… do they offer you cigars or its bring your own?
