I started a at home cookie business and it’s going great! But every time I get a new order I can’t help but think should I be charging more. I’m pricing my cookies at $25 right now and i’m finding it a bit difficult to make 4+ dozen cookies for people to make little back in return. People tell me I should charge more but I wanted to get opinions from here. For extra context I’ve done about 8 orders for people at $25/per dozen, all cookies to talking to probably around 30 dozen cookies i’ve made in this price point.

I’d up to $36/dozen for ones with 2-3 colors besides base. Florals would be $42/dozen.
You should definitely be charging more. Especially if you’re already getting consistent orders. When I was first learning and wanted orders to get more experience I would charge less. But when I was getting better and constantly busy/had to say no to some due to too many orders/not enough time I definitely started charging more. It also depends on your area. Maybe do some research around your area to see how much other Cookiers are charging and how their experience compares to you. I also see logo orders so are you doing corporate type of cookies??? You should definitely be charging more. For context I charge a min. Of $75 per dz but I am located in NYC.
I charge $50 per dozen for friends and family and $60 for business clients.
You asked this question two weeks ago and were given a lot of good insight on skills to improve if you want to charge more. At this time you really need to focus on skill building to merit a price increase.
Please raise your pricing. You’re not only hurting yourself, but the market in your area by undercharging. You’re definitely not making a profit or paying yourself for your time at $25/dozen
Id raise to between $36-$40/dozen for now, and as your skill grows, raise prices accordingly. I’m a fan of a slight annual increase at the start of the year (for the most part)
I’m seven ish years in, and I charge between $64-$70/dozen currently, with a 1.5 dozen minimum. I’m raising the minimum to 2 dozen next year. Located in central Texas for reference, and on the mid-high end of pricing for my area
