I found a bottle of 1985 Dom in my basement and just wanted to know if it’s still good to drink/sell

I had some Veuve Clicquot from the 1960s (this was ten more years ago) that was excellent! It wasn’t crisp and bubbly like a newer Veuve Clicquot would be, but rather dark and creamy and layered. It’s the only time in my life I’d ever tasted something like that. Of course, it had been stored perfectly (it was at Michelin restaurant with representatives from Veuve Clicquot), which may not be the case for your bottle of Dom. But it’ll be interesting for sure.
Make sure it’s cold and drink it with friends in tall and narrow rather than wide champagne glasses right away. If it’s tilting toward oxidation, that’ll only worsen once it’s open.
I’d be curious to know how it was! Will you post here to let us know?

Hope it’s good! What’s the story on finding it?? Previous owner left it behind? Stuck in a box and forgotten?

If it were stored properly it should hopefully still be good. I had a 1982 Cristal several years ago and it was beautiful!

Drink, yes… Give it a shot! Sell, no… “I found it in my basement” doesn’t make for very good provenance.
