Let’s make the best homemade Caesar salad you’ve ever tasted. Start by adding real mayo, worsture sauce, black pepper, freshly pressed garlic, dijon mustard, and some grated Parmesan cheese to a bowl. Once you have that in the bowl, you’re going to squeeze in the juice of a lemon. And then you’re going to stir everything together until you have this really smooth, creamy, emulsified dressing. When the dressing is combined, you’re going to put it in a jar and put it in the fridge while you get the rest of the salad together. So, to make the croutons, you’re going to cube up some Italian bread and sprinkle them liberally with garlic powder and salt. Then, drizzle them with olive oil. Give everything a toss and add some Parmesan cheese. These are all going to go onto a baking sheet that you’ve sprayed with non-stick spray. Toast them up in the oven. While the croutons are toasting, you can cut up two heads of Roma. And you’re going to discard the end piece there, that core. Put it into a bowl. You’re going to add some shaved parmesan, your freshly toasted croutons, which are so good. And then you’re going to give it all a toss to combine it. And once it’s all together, you’re going to pour on about half a cup to a cup of the Caesar dressing that you made. And that’s up to you, but you don’t want to overdress your salad or it’ll be sort of soggy. Give it a toss and you’ll see everything will get coated. If it’s not coated, you can always add a little bit more. Then you’ve got the best Caesar salad ever. This is dinner in and of itself or a great starter.
