Picked this guy up in a trade today. It belonged to a high school teacher of mine who is now deceased. A good friend bought a vehicle from the previous owners widow and noticed the egg sitting in some overgrown weeds in the back yard. He inquired about purchasing the egg, she offered to give it to him if he would make sure it got fixed and used. Gonna bring it back to life. Does anyone know how old this guy is? Found several stamps inked inside the body and on the inserts. Couldnt make out a serial on lid. Grate is black porcelain. Thermometer is not teltru. Hinge looks like a door hinge. See pics.

This is pre 2000 – they switched over to raised lettering on the dome I believe around then. Nice pickup!
Mid 90s most likely. Like someone else said, they changed the logo from being embossed like this to raised in 2001. You might be able to call BGE and give them the serial numbers you can see.
She’s old but looks unused. No idea on age, but awesome project.
I’d say contact BGE by phone or email with these pictures.
