A spontaneous idea to make something like sushi at home with the groceries I had. But I didn't have any high-quality fish at home. It's filled with marinated tofu, soy beef, shrimp with avocado, spring onions, carrots, and various herbs.

Saying Gimbap and sushi are interchangeable words is triggering to both foods lol it’s like saying katsu and Wienerschnitzel are the same thing

I’d eat that. Not familiar with most of the things put inside it but I’m sure it’s excellent

Not sure about the combo, but it looks good to me! And it’s homemade too which is nice

JFC, every reddit post needs to turn into a pissing match over pedantic, subjective things rather than talking about the actual food and how good it looks.

Yes, because of the ingredients used, the rolled item is probably closer to gimbap than a maki sushi roll. All of this looks great and I applaud OP for using up what they have in the fridge. That is a skill that I wish I was better at.

Calling kimbap sushi is like calling a hamburger a chicken sandwich, similar, but different ingredients are involved.

  6. that looks amazing! I think you have inspired me to give some maki roll mak’n a try! 😊

  7. I don’t know what that is but I’d eat it! Looks pretty good, got me hungry actually
