88# 15hours. Honestly the best pork I've eaten in my life. And I've eaten a lot! Highly recommend doing it if you considered it. Lol. Stuffed the inside with apple and onion, made a rub for the inside as well, coated the outside in soy sauce before roasting. Everything turned out so damn good. Will not be the last pig we roast that's for sure! Just wanted to share!

Look delicious, and I’m envious. I haven’t been to a pig roast in years but have fond memories growing up with our family celebrating big events with a pig roast. It’s worth the work.
Looks great how many guest were served?
Awesome.
This looks incredible ⭐️⭐️
Next time please post more than 2 pics. As a whole hog consumer and cooker, you are doing yourself a disservice in this community. Please share with us.
Just curious – I grew up in North Carolina and a “pig pickin” was a pretty normal thing. Probably once or twice a year, I’ve been to multiple weddings where a whole pig was cooked — though not on a spit, generally on a large barrel cooker. Anyways, moved to Georgia and nobody here is really even familiar with the concept. Wondering if that is something specific to NC or if I just hang out with uncultured swine in Georgia?
