Have about 24 pepper plants Jalapeño, Cayenne, Carolina Reapers, Ghost, Tabasco, Habanero. Started late but hopefully zone 10a helps out. What typeof insect should I be looking for that'seating the leaves? Only seen one small cricket once on outside of growbag. Seen moths twice on leaves but on different plants. Some black spots on random leaves.

  1. Beetles are generally bad news as I understand it. General pests for peppers are aphids, white flies, broad mites, slugs and hornworms. Hornworms are probably the most destructive if not caught in time. Moths shouldn’t be an issue and spiders, ladybugs and lizards are good.

Picture 4 appears to be a wolf spider. Totally friendly. Eats bad guys.

Pic1: Meh, Probably not a big deal.

Pic2: That is a bit concerning. Slugs?

Pic3: Ant. Usually not a problem but can eat shallow holes in fully ripe peppers cuz of sugars.

    Pic4: Spider. Friend.

Pic5: No idea what I’m looking at

Pic 6: Those black spots on stems are concerning. Not sure what that might be, possibly bacterial infection.

Pic7: Ground beetle, I believe. Not a problem.

Pic 8: No idea what I’m looking at

Pic 9: Moth of some sort. Should not be eating plant but is likely laying eggs and it’s babies will likely eat plant or bore into peppers.

Pic 10: No clue what those are. Looks like a type of moth. See Pic9 comment.

    Pic 11: Friend, eats bugs.
