Bosphorus Turkish Kitchen located on 48 The Hundred, opened on Monday, July 7 and is the only restaurant of its kind in Romsey town.

After its grand launch, two weeks ago, Bosphorus has already become a roaring success with locals, earning five star reviews on Google and Trip Advisor.

Owner, Beri Saek, 30, from Southampton said: “We moved here because it’s a quiet, good town. We want to make the people of Romsey happy.

“We have been really busy, but the feedback has been good. We are glad to be getting five star reviews as we don’t like anything below five.

“The head chef always makes sure everything is good with the food and we always look for ways to improve.”

Opening every day from 12am to 10pm, the restaurant will be offering a variety of freshly made Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine, with kebab, meze and grill options.

The team were keen to provide something for everyone when creating the menu, including vegetarian, sea food and gluten free options.

A customer, Sue Stagg said: “We just had a fabulous meal. Authentic Turkish food, very attentive service & good Turkish draught beer.

“We had mezee, whitebait & babaganoush starters followed by lamb shish & Ali Zanik lamb.

“The lamb didn’t have a trace of fat & was so tender.  The salad was fresh & tasty and we had Turkish delight with the bill.

“It is a really good addition to Romsey. We highly recommended and will be returning.”

Beri and his team took over the premises, previously known as Papadum, in June and took just more than a month to move in and transform the interior of the former Indian restaurant.
