Côte Brasserie, which has a branch in George Street, is in talks at the moment, according to sources close to the company.
Marlow residents have been asking questions on social media, curious about the future of the bistro, popular for its croque monsieurs and steak frites.
The chain has already shut several restaurants in recent years, including one in Amersham Old Town, which was replaced with Amersham House in 2023.

There were suggestions made that several restaurants across the country might close as the company seeks new investment.
However, a spokesman for the company has claimed that a report in The Sun was “misleading” when stating sites “are at risk of closure”.
Côte Brasserie at 57 West Street, opened in June 2015, taking over from the former Thai Square restaurant.

Marlow has seen a number of changes in its town centre with new stores opening and undergoing renovations on West Street and the High Street.
The George and Dragon, recently reopened after a multimillion-pound revamp, is under new ownership.
Italian chain, Zizzi’s, has also had a redesign, and a new Oliver Bonas shop has plans to join the high street.
The Côte Marlow currently has 4.4 stars across 1,043 Google Reviews.
