Welcome to my kitchen. Today we’re making delicious couscous, a staple in Moroccan cuisine. We’ll start with the ingredients. Couscous semolina, water, salt, butter, and your favorite vegetables like carrots, zucchini, and onions. For added flavor, we’ll use ros hanout, a vibrant blend of Moroccan spices. First, prepare your vegetables by chopping them into bite-sized pieces. Then bring some salted water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, add your couscous semolina. Stir gently and let it simmer for about 5 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Fluff the couscous with a fork to prevent clumping. Meanwhile, saute your vegetables in a pan with butter and rosel handout until tender. Now for the magic. Gently mix the cooked couscous with the sauteed vegetables. Add a knob of butter for richness and extra flavor. You can garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro. Serve hot and enjoy this simple yet flavorful Moroccan couscous. That’s it. Easy peasy, right? But here’s a secret. This couscous is just the beginning of our Moroccan culinary adventure. In my next video, we’ll be tackling a traditional Moroccan tajin, a rich and aromatic stew. Subscribe now to join me on this delicious journey.
