DETROIT – Oak & Reel invites you to leave the Italian coast behind this August and embark on a journey to the heart of France. The downtown restaurant that sits along Grand Blvd. is ditching the Italian dishes for a limited time in exchange for a French menu.

Michelin-starred Chef Gadbaw will offer an exclusively French menu, returning to his roots where he spent years studying and cooking in French kitchens. According to the award-winning eatery, the menu will take guests on a culinary tour of its most iconic regions from the French Alps to Provence.

Guests can expect classic techniques, timeless dishes with a modern touch. Guests will also find thoughtfully paired French wines and cocktails to complete the immersive dining experience.

With a pause on Oak and Reel’s Italian seafood driven dishes, guests will instead dive into contemporary brasserie-style French cooking, and enjoy dishes like POIREAUX VINAIGRETTE roasted leeks, almonds, anchovy preserved egg yolk, RATATOUILLE stuffed zucchini blossom, and yellow tomato coulis, and TOURNEDO ROSSINI beef tenderloin, foie gras, brioche, spinach and truffle jus.

Reservations for early August are now open at OpenTable. The full French menu is available on Oak & Reel’s website.

Oak and Reel is located at 2921 E. Grand Blvd.
