Any ideas on how to use this seaweed? In addition to just eating it like chips.
Purchased at Costco in SoCal.

Wrap rice with it
Bonus points if you have some spam and eggs to put on it to make mini seaweed kimbap tacos
Fomulouscrunch
Use it to wrap around a bit of rice.

You can use this to make kimbap, crumble it over rice, or just add some rice onto it (and veggies/bulgogi/whatever) and eat it like little wraps (“lazy” kimbap).

Crumble it up with some toasted sesame seeds and sugar to make your own easy furikake!

Mix 명란젓 (salted pollack roe) w sesame oil and red pepper flakes. Add this to rice and seaweed paper
My fav dish is hot rice, the mix, avocado, sesame oil, and sunny side up egg on top w crushed seaweed paper.

I think the most common ways Koreans use this is to
1. Eat with rice (and kimchi) for a simple and lazy meal
2. Add it as “furikake” or a topping to bimbimbap (mixed rice) or ddukguk (rice cake soup).

Seaweed + rice + kimchi = one of the best bites known to man kind

I add them in too when I eat ramen. Not technically Korean but delicious

If you have 곱창돌김, the most common way Koreans eat it is with a bowl of rice. Just take a bite of rice and wrap it with the seaweed. You can add other side dishes too like kimchi, 멸치볶음 (stir-fried anchovies), or 계란말이 (rolled egg). It’s simple but really tasty.
Some people crumble it over rice porridge, noodles, or tofu. It adds a nice crunch and roasted flavor.
You can also just eat it straight out of the bag like chips. It’s a popular snack, especially with beer as 안주.
Koreans don’t usually use 곱창돌김 for gimbap because it breaks easily. It’s more of a premium snack or something you enjoy with a simple meal.

Eat it with rice

This may seem weird, but make some jokbal and use the kim to pick up the pieces of jokbal. Even better if you have some kimchi to make a mini-ssam of kim, kimchi, jokbal, munchmunchmuch 😀

I cut them into thinner strips and wrap my Onigiri with it.
