  1. Yall got metal utensils? Both I went to was strictly plastic. Ngl that cheese looks kinda good was it spicy?

  2. antisocialwoman

I’ve seen worse food cooked in homes on here. At least the parts are identifiable.

  3. Informal_Ask6646

They let you have your phone in a mental hospital?

  4. veebles89

Metal utensils and you got your phone? That’s pretty lax for a mental hospital.

They subscribe to the Kellogg school of thought: a bland diet will prevent you from masturbating. And judging by the plate, you seem to be a compulsive masturbator.

  6. Irradiated_gnome

You’ll make it through, you got this! Dream of what you’ll eat when you get out to help

  7. luulitko

This food isn’t helping ppl get better.
    (I hope you get better.)

  8. chef_tuffster

I’m afraid to ask, but what’s under that blanket of cheese? Also, hope you feel better soon, friend!

  9. scriptingends

If you think it’s food, they know you belong there.

  10. ShreekingEeel

Honestly, it looks high in protein (not good, but high protein). Switch that corn out for some broccoli and it’s basically a gym gain meal

  11. OOOdragonessOOO

I’d be mad if i couldn’t have 2nds.thats bs portion.

  12. Flaky-Ambassador467

    What’s under the cheeses? #whatsunderthecheese

average mental hospital food tbh they didn’t even cook the shit half the time I was in a psych ward

  15. Acegonia

Wait- all that top bit is cheese??

    And you got an egg!

This is healthier and more delicious than what I, a technically sane person, eat daily.

  16. Used-Armadillo2863

Yeah, nobody is getting better there.

  17. Adventurous-Fall-748

Is the cafeteria run by the residents lol

  18. SicknessofChoice

Any food in a facility tends to be not too good! 🤔

  19. LurkerBerker

what’s the meat(?) under the cheese?

  20. retardedgreenlizard

This would single handily make me sane

We took away the buns, because they’re a potential weapon hazard

  22. TheFourBurgerKings

Damn your mental hospitals let you use metal utensils and keep your phones???

  23. Strwbrry-OwO

Same, i knew exactly that u are from germany as well

  24. Reddit access in a mental hospital? Sounds like an easy way to eat that food everyday.

  25. RenzuZG

No wonder patients rarely regain sanity in a mental hospital.

  26. mudokin

Typical Abendbrot (dinner) in Germany. Especially in Hospitals. We love our bread.

    Get well soon.

  27. feeltheFX

Phew! A meal like that is not going to help anyone’s mental health.

  28. LeCouchSpud

The cheese looks high quality, but I suspect it’s just to cover up whats under it

  29. mudokin

People, you need to understand that this is a German psycho therapeutic hospital stay.
This is not a closed, you are being admitted and can’t leave kind of stay. It’s more like open treatment.
You are not locked into the place, you can leave. Maybe one could see this more like a rehab clinic.

  30. Subetenokami

mystery loaf with cheese and a boiled egg is what I had for lunch, too… Maybe this isn’t my apartment…

  31. PsychologicalTea5678

But that cheese is so tasty

  32. jellybeankitty

Trying to push you over the edge fr

  33. Emotional_Weekend762

They let you keep your phone? Why did they take mine? 😭💔

  34. crystalphonebackup23

I mean A+ on them for giving you a boiled egg but the rest of that is lame

  35. pentacontagon

You’re allowed a phone in there? How does it work I’m fairly uneducated in that domain

  36. homelessguydiet

They don’t allow cameras in psych wards but whatever.

  37. Money-Snow-2749

You’re able to have your cell phone in a mental hospital? Must be out of the USA because here they lock it in a vault.

  38. neep_pie

yes, I’d like 1 1/2 tablespoons of corn pleaseÂ
