2004 Dom Perignon paired with salmon roe, butter and baguette.
Have been saving this bottle for my wife's completion of her CPA journey. Opened last night after she finally got her letters.
Tasting notes:
Rich golden colour with a fine perlage.
Notes of mushroom, brioche, lemon, and green apple on the nose. Was muted to start, but really opened up after about 15 minutes.
Medium+ body, high acidity, long finish with same flavours as on the nose.
It's hard to judge QPR on wines like this as you could definitely find better options, but for a special occasion it definitely hit the spot. This is the oldest (not the earliest vintage, but with the most age in bottle) Dom I tried and probably the best (I really like tertiary notes in vintage champagne, but it's not for everyone)

Congrats to her! The best part of finally passing is looking back at it in few years saying thank god you did it and also, there’s no way I’d ever pass it again 😂😂
Congrats! I’m a cpa as well, those exams are no joke. I celebrated with a meal at 5 guys when I passed, although I should’ve bought a bottle of ‘04 Dom instead, probably would’ve been cheaper.
Looks delicious. Congrats to your wife!
Congratulations 🍾
Is that bottle a write off🤔
Congratulations to her from a fellow CPA!
Take her on a trip to wine country to celebrate her hard work aka use it as an excuse to treat yourselves!
Congrats to her!
Forget about QPR. ‘04 Dom is wonderful and just the thing for the occasion. Congrats to your wife, that’s a huge achievement and a fantastic wine to celebrate it.
Becoming a CPA in 2025 is wild but congrats on the accomplishment.
Congrats to your wife and you!! Here’s to future years of success and bubbles!
Congratulations to you both, Sir — but a special congratulations to her🎈
That’s awesome. Congrats 👏
Beautiful.
Congratulations
Seems like I can’t edit the post, so just commenting here that I forwarded the post to my wife so she can appreciate all the congratulatory comments herself. Wifey, you are the best, I am so proud of you!
Congrats to her! It’s a great club to be in! Glad you’re celebrating it well!
Congratulations! I’m sorry but can someone tell me what a CPS is?
Every CPA advises “spend money you don’t have on things that are only temporary”.
🎊Congrats!! Wonderful way to celebrate. CHEERS🥂
Her dreams went out the door when she turned 24.
That’s a special bottle!! Congratulations to her! I’m a recovering CFO. Champagne is the OG for sure but also try Oregon Sparkling for a great wine and also the QPR is fantastic.
Cute Precious & Adorable?
