“At 28g protein per serving, this is a fresh take on strawberries and cream, combining fast-digesting carbs and complete protein — ideal for replenishing glycogen and supporting muscle recovery post-training. The extra virgin olive oil adds anti-inflammatory fats that give this real texture and balance.”
Ingredients
150g frozen strawberries
150g 0% Greek natural yogurt
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
100ml unsweetened milk of your choice (I use almond milk)
Zest of ½ lemon
½ tsp vanilla extract or seeds from ⅓ to ½ vanilla pod
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil (to swirl in post-spin)
Optional: 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup
Instructions
– Blend everything except the extra virgin olive oil and freeze overnight.
– Spin once on ‘Lite Ice Cream’.
– Swirl in the extra virgin olive oil and lemon zest before serving, or gently respin.
Blackcurrant Recovery Sorbet by Anne Assassi
“Blackcurrants provide vitamin C and polyphenols to support immune and cardiovascular health, while coconut water adds electrolytes and potassium to keep you hydrated during recovery,” says Assassi. “It’s the kind of sorbet you’ll want after a long run, on warm days, or whenever you’re after something lighter that still delivers.”
Ingredients
1 cup frozen blackcurrants
¾ cup coconut water
Juice of ½ lemon
1–2 tsp honey
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
– Blend all ingredients until fully smooth, freeze for 24 hours, and spin on “Sorbet” mode.
– If it’s too icy, add a splash of coconut water and respin.
