It was baked late last night and I havent cut into it. I did bake and ate the end pieces I trimmed off and they were delicious. I think i will try the tang zhong method next time. I grated some orange zest in the syrup mixture

Her babka is delicious; I added an extra egg yolk to the recipe ( based on other recipes) and it really made the dough extra rich.
I also filled w both Nutella and a sugar/cocoa filling.
