Guys, check out my tomato. Now, before even getting into this tomato, I’m going to need some roasted garlic. So, guys, I just chop off the end. I’m going get a little bit of foil and I set it down there. Hit that with some olive oil. I like to cover the whole thing kind of inside and out. Big pinch of kosher salt. And I got some fresh cracked black pepper. If you have some fresh herbs, throw that on it, too. Tighten up that little foil packet. Throw it on a pan into the oven. 425° for an hour. This is what it looks like. gets all caramelly and soft. That’s perfect. All right, we’re going to make some butter. Squeeze that garlic right out. It’s warm. It kind of melts the butter a little bit. Be perfect for mixing. Another pinch of salt and some more black pepper. I’m going to grate in a little Parmesan cheese, too. Go ahead and start mixing that all. Break up those little bulbs. They’re going to mash up real easily. Let’s do our tomato. I’m going to slice this thing about a/4 in. Get some bread. This is from a local bakery. We’re going to throw a little bit of that garlic butter right on there. I got a pan heating up, too. We can throw these down. Just griddle those. We want to get them nice and crisp. Give them a second. Flip them around. Let both sides get kind of crisp. So, we’re going to take that garlicky, buttery side and put it on the inside of the sandwich. Little bit of mayonnaise goes down. We’re going to throw down those tomatoes. I’m putting four big slices. I think that’ll be perfect. Little salt, black pepper, guys. That’s it. We throw on the lid. Cut that thing in half. And look at that. And just get in there and enjoy. When I took a bite, I was just floored by the intense flavors. M. That’s downright good. Salted lemon, rosemary bread, this beautiful heirloom tomato, the garlic butter. Just perfect. What a treat. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE a tomato sandwich, but my grandfather grew the most amazing home grown tomatoes I’ve ever had, so sadly I’m never gonna be able to experience one of HIS tomato sandwiches ever again. Still adore a good tomato sandwich.

OSK, try finishing with some Lebanese toom instead of the mayo. I love a tomato sandwich with mayo, but toom takes SO much to the next level! Cheesy garlic bread, salad dressing, burger topping, better than aioli for dipping, EVERYTHING!!!
