this is your huge psa from a chef but it is currently peak artichoke season for the next month and they are one of the best delicious vegetables to eat so here’s how you make a very easy crispy roast artich choke start by preparing them you cut off top third of the artichoke and part of the stem since those aren’t really edible and then trim the top of each leaf from there steam in a double boiler for about 15 to 20 minutes i do cut side down just until it’s fork tender and you don’t want to skip this step because it won’t be cooked through enough if you do the last step in the prep is cutting in half and removing the choke which is the hairy looking middle part that is not edible it is called the choke because you can literally choke on it so scoop it out and get rid of it then coat in olive oil and salt and roast for 400 until nice and crispy find the recipe on my

  1. Love artichokes!!! Grew up simmering them for an hour and then pulled off the leaves tip i into parm butter, mayo or sour cream. Amazing will have to try your was soon. Glad you said it’s artichoke month I had no idea!!!
