Ingredients:
2 cups (400g) dry red lentils,
Water for boiling/soaking and then rinsing the lentils,
1/2 brown onion (chopped),
1/2 cup breadcrumbs,
1 tbsp sesame seeds,
2 tsp garlic (minced),
2 tsp chilli flakes,
1 tsp dried herbs,
1 tsp paprika,
1/2 tsp salt,
1/2 tsp pepper,
1/4 tsp turmeric,
Method:
1. Prepare the red lentils by boiling for 5 minutes/soak 2 hours. Drain, rinse with cold water to cool, drain fully, then add to a food processor.
2. Add the remaining ingredients, and process until combined.
3. Scoop the mixture (roughly 2 tbsp) and use your hands to shape it into a bite/patty shape.
4. Place bites on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to become more firm.
5. Oven bake, airfry or pan fry the bites until golden brown.
6. Serve hot with sauce
