Always wanted to cook whole hog bbq. Had a neighborhood block party and seized the opportunity. Bought the materials. Built a pit. Bought a hog and cooked it. Hard work but went better than I could have hoped. Awesome experience cooking whole hog with my buddy and very rewarding, hearing all the positive feedback back from all my wonderful neighbors. If you ever have the chance to cook whole hog I recommend you put in the work and go for it!

Good stuff!
Hello 👋 that looks absolutely amazing and delicious. I was just wondering about how much it actually cost for you to build that set-up. Because I’m actually interested in building something similar to that as well for my needs. If you don’t mind me asking for advice I’d love to hear exactly what types of glazes and spices that you used to fully prepare the hog. I truly think you did a wonderful job.
Thanks so very much for your message. I really appreciate all of the feedback to my question. As I said earlier that looked absolutely amazing. You truly know what you’re doing when it comes to cooking. I look forward to seeing any other posts that you may put onto this platform. I truly hope that your day has been going extremely well for you and yours always my friend. I’m currently new to all of this type of thing and truly didn’t want to overstep by asking too many questions. But I really do appreciate hearing back from you.
Nice one mate, how’d the skin come out? Get some consistent crackling through it? I’ve only partaken in a hog pit once, rare as hens teeth in Aus.
What are you envisioning for some future cooks? I know a couple lambs would be getting thrown on there if that were my backyard. Kudos 👍
Your timing notes on the side of the pit is genius, hope it came out as delicious as it looks!
The ancestors would be proud. Something primal about it. Although overused term in the JRR universe if you have lived that life or had grand parents or parents live it you know what it is. The wild is calling
This is peak bbq.
This is some fantastic work. Great skill display, hope it tasted great!
