Some Weber collector someplace is drooling.

Ohhh.. to try to resell as is or assemble and cook up some drumsticks.
What to do, what to do.

Damn, $49 in 1979 is equivalent in purchasing power to **about $216.97**

I wish someone would take that kettle (or one like it) and do a good YouTube video comparing it to a modern one. I’ll bet the older ones have sturdier leg tubes, but I’d be really curious whether any of the modern elements are better. P-vents maybe?

    That’s awesome 😎
It’s probably made with higher quality materials than today’s models

That’s when they made shit to last. Definitely a keeper. 👍🏼

I guess Weber dropped out of the bug killing business.

Question regarding the 79 Kettle. Does it actually get used or is it considered a collector’s item and remain in the box?

I would contact weber and see if they wanted to make a trade and upgrade you with one of their latest greatest models to get their hands on this piece of history

This guy definitely bought it at a flea market and immediately threw it on marketplace for a profit.

Ahh Arlington Heights Illinois, not Arlington Texas. I was going to say Hank Hill would not be a fan of the best charcoal grill being made in his city 😂

Good ole 1979, where the top tier income bracket is 50k+

Meaning you could have a mortgage, car, and kids on a average joe construction job.

Are the wheels rubber? Hell, I’d use that sucker.
