I'm not the best baker but I made my own jam for the first time with foraged blackberries and first time making a swiss meringue buttercream and I managed not to fail!

It tastes great, but even better knowing I'm finally finished with my nursing degree 🙂

I used this recipe but switched out the icing/frosting for Sally's baking addictions swiss meringue buttercream: https://redcurrantbakery.com/lemon-blackberry-cake/

It looks absolutely divine and so refreshing! Congratulations on finishing your degree! Now take a well earned few days, sleep in, eat your cake, and enjoy life a bit to help reset your nervous system before taking your NCLEX or licensing exam.

Congratulations! Your cake sounds great. I graduated from nursing school June 1979, passed what was then State Boards, later that summer. I am retired 3 years now and just this week put my RN license on inactive status. Took a lot of thought. I wish you a long, enjoyable and wonderful career. You work hard for it. Enjoy it.
