new Orleans style barbecue shrimp all on the Weber kettle we got a little grilled French baguette and of course a cold beer let’s go we’re going to be making my version of Nolan’s grilled barbecue shrimp it’s going to need some beer so am I big old shrimps got these from Costco got about two pounds of shrimp using some creole seasoning today be careful about your creole seasoning depends on how salty it is depends on if you need to adjust a recipe easy recipe we have our Weber um Summit charcoal grill center the Weber Komado a Weber kettle already set up the charcoal is already going you guys have seen me start my charcoal grill enough now to know that I don’t know if I need to show you every time point is we got a good nice bed of uh Jealous Devil on there lump i’m going to start heating our cast iron up this is from Lodge tons of garlic and if you guys are following along this recipe will be on pellets and pits.com juice of a lemon oh that’s a big lemon that is a juicy lemon that’s how I like it a lot of garlic a lot of lemon a lot of butter a lot of seasoning it’s one of my favorites one of my favorites to put on a grill wisher sauce black pepper creole seasoning thyme and red pepper smoked paprika hot sauce and oregano work that around give that a mix all righty our pan’s heating up and just really quickly I’m going to set these shrimp just on the side of the grill woo that thing is smoky and that’s what we’re trying to pick up just a little bit of grill and smoke flavor on those shrimp now the fire was predominantly in the middle so we can reduce that sauce down make sure you keep these uh shrimp in the shell cuz that’s where a ton of flavor is at i’m going add that sauce right to the pan that’s a good sign we have about a stick and a half of butter i’m going to add about the first stick in there right now not first stick first half stick and we’re looking about a half a cup of beer you guys can eyeball it if you want to but it does matter with the sauce consistency okay and all I did was saute that garlic and that butter and everything else just for a few minutes add that beer looking to reduce it down basically the shrimp are done on one side and that’s what we’re looking for now all that shrimp goes back in there as that sauce simmers finish cooking that shrimp this is like the quickest recipe ever and it’s not going to matter if your shrimp are upside down or anything like that you just want to be able to absorb that sauce this video is just about going to be in real time honey that’s what I’m talking about look at that sauce now that you got your shrimp in there we’re just going to add a little bit of the butter at a time on not on the grill grates how about we get the butter i never want to get that in there sauce is starting to reduce that means we’re back up to temp we’re going to add a little bit knobs of those butters just kind of like place them around a little bit little bit extra grill flavor i like to grill the lemons [Music] ain’t no way I forgot about that bread you ain’t having all that good sauce and ain’t dipping in bread but what you are going to do is have trouble getting it open i can tell you that right now nice French baguette not anything crazy we’re just going to cut it right in half and then right at the very end just a touch of parsley you smell that smells amazing oh yeah oh you can’t deny those flavors cannot deny them and that is how it all comes together cheers you guys it’s about 100° outside today i’m sweating in places that are unknown to mankind take that bread break it in half i don’t like butter or oil my bread when I grill it because you’re dipping in butter i find sometimes it’s too greasy but you get it like that sauce is worth it just a sauce on the flavor meter it’s up there keep the shrimp in the shell it takes just a two longer to cook which you’re going to need get the bigger shrimp the smaller shrimp cook way too fast that sauce is on point golly sit out there and watch the kids do stuff they shouldn’t this is a fantastic dinner quick easy if it wasn’t 110° outside today it’ be absolute perfect even with lighting the charcoal less than 30 minutes even with lighting cuz once that charcoal lights you can do all this prep work right here and be done in a hurry yeah the actual dish probably cooked what less than 10 minutes 10 minutes maybe sauce is on point here let me try you didn’t add a shrimp yet uh-uh haven’t had anything no [Music] oh that’s good m you wouldn’t think that those shrimp pick up the sauce but you get them already split like that look at the color on the things you can dump them in there if you want to that right there is money here get me one you’re going to have to do it for me cuz it’s messy golly the flies and before you say anything look for the people that want me to screen them out for ain’t happening ice cream on my porch now how in the world you don’t have messy hands i got messy hands oh man m looking forward to the bread m that’s my kind of dinner m cheers you guys that sauce you nailed it the beer is up to you really and truly I’m not even a beer fan it’s got to be super I mean super ice cold for me to drink it but it did have citrus notes in it and I thought that might have mirrored the the recipe a little bit just things to look out for thanks for watching don’t forget to press I’ve been going through a lot of olive oil in my squirt bottle I leave outside by the griddle. The oil isn’t cheap. I found out today my dog has been knocking it off the griddle and licking the oil out of the squirt bottle. I should probably wash the bottle.
