Cannoli Ice Cream Recipe

Blend the following:
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1 cup whole milk ricotta (strained)
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
Zest of 1 orange
1/4 tsp salt

Churn in ice cream maker. After 15 minutes, add in a 1/4 cup of each: mini chocolate chips, chopped pistachios, & chopped candied oranges.

Churn for about 5 more minutes until desired consistency. If you want to harden it more, let it sit in the freezer for 2+ hours.

Let me show you how to make a canoli filling ice cream. It’s amazing. So, first we’re going to blend two cups of heavy cream, one cup of milk, of whole milk, and then we’re going to add our ricotta that I strained for at least 30 minutes in the fridge. So, there it is strained. Next, add 3/4 of a cup of granulated sugar. 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract or more. Add the zest of one orange. half teaspoon of cinnamon powder. And then we’re going to add 1/4 teaspoon of salt. All right. Now, let’s blend this up. So, now we’re going to chop up our mixins. 1/4 cup of pistachios and 1/4 cup of candied oranges. You also want to get some mini chocolate chips. We’re going to turn the machine on. Pour the mixture in. So, after 15 minutes, we’re going to add in the oranges and the pistachios. Mini chocolate chips. So, here it is. It’s delicious. I’m going to put it in a tub and put it in the freezer for another hour or two to harden. And I’ll see you in a bit.
