Been waiting for a few weeks to get the deck done a put the kettle on it. Ive been cooking out of the garage in the driveway. Got the kettle off FMP and done some steaks, filets and chicken so far. Looking forward to a long cook one day. First time cooking woth charcoal. I remember as a kid my grandpa had a kettle, never gave it much thought. Enjoying the process and results thus far.

I would recommend getting a grill mat for under your kettle. They can produce some serious heat, spark or grease spillage.
Get the weber mat
Is that chimney overkill or am I missing something? Fairly new
