I cooked this for the first time last night. Bought a whole filet, cut into three portions. Salt, pepper, butter and olive oil. Cast Iron with space between the portions.
It was a huge hit. I wanted easy, so quinoa and broccoli. The photo does not do it justice.
My son told me that he prefers this to salmon. I love our shared seafood adventure.

Looks awesome! Sidenote, what is a sablefish and how do they taste? Lol. I’ve never heard that term before, guessing it has dark/black scales?
This is the first time I’ve heard about sablefish, but this one looks good!

I believe it’s also called butterfish and yes, often prepared with a miso marinade.
