Take your seasoning game to the next level with this all-organic, farm-fresh herb seasoning salt! It’s perfect for sprinkling on roasted veggies, meats, or even adding to soups and stews. Make a small batch for yourself or a large batch to gift to friends and family!
Small Batch (1 cup salt)
— 1 cup organic Himalayan salt
— 3 tablespoons fresh organic rosemary, finely chopped
— 2 tablespoons dried organic basil
— 2 tablespoons organic garlic powder
— 1 tablespoon organic ground black pepper
— 1 tablespoon dried organic thyme
— 1 teaspoon dried organic sage
Large Batch (6 cups salt)
— 6 cups organic Himalayan salt
— 18 tablespoons fresh organic rosemary, finely chopped (about 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons)
— 12 tablespoons dried organic basil (3/4 cup)
— 12 tablespoons organic garlic powder (3/4 cup)
— 6 tablespoons organic ground black pepper (3/8 cup)
— 6 tablespoons dried organic thyme (3/8 cup)
— 2 tablespoons dried organic sage
How to Make It:
— Infuse the Salt with Fresh Rosemary
Blend fresh rosemary with the Himalayan salt in a food processor or with a mortar and pestle to release the aromatic oils. Spread the mixture evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
— Bake to Dry
Bake at 200°F for 20–30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to ensure the rosemary dries evenly and doesn’t brown. For the large batch, divide it between multiple baking sheets if needed. Let the mixture cool completely after baking.
— Add the Dried Herbs and Spices
Mix in the basil, garlic powder, black pepper, thyme, and sage with the cooled rosemary salt.
— Blend Again for a Fine Texture (optional)
For a smoother seasoning, pulse everything briefly in a food processor.
— Store and Enjoy
Store your herb seasoning salt in airtight jars. Keep it in a cool, dry place, and it will stay fresh and fragrant for months. The large batch makes fantastic gifts—simply divide into smaller jars and label for a thoughtful homemade present.
