I went to the supermarket to buy roast beef, and I asked the cachier to cook it the other way than seen here, but she insisted on cutting it this way because of the Fibers. I wanted to roast this in the oven, but I think the Fibers are a Problem. Can I still cook this?

    You are correct the fibers are a problem. You can still cook this, but use a reverse sear method where you slow cook it first and then sear quickly after a rest.

    To cut it you will have to take large chunks off and then slice it against the grain.

    To solve this problem for next time don’t pay for what you don’t want. You could even return this steak and tell them you wanted a roast.
