It’s not supposed to light your face on fire. It’s supposed to make food taste better. You cook with it. You mix it into butter. You hit a bowl of chili with a few shakes. It disappears into the dish in the best way.
People call it mid because they treat it like it’s trying to compete with craft sauce or high-Scoville stuff. It’s not. It’s salt, vinegar, aged cayenne and it works. That’s it.

Yeah, the name Red Hot is a little bit deceptive.
subtlety is underrated
Man some Frank’s with butter, garlic powder, Worcester sauce, and several shakes of cayenne sets things off! Such a great base imo
Franks is top tier with wings… do you need anything else?
Franks Extra is a fuckin banger
Frank’s is delicious. End of speech.
I expect it to be a perfect wing sauce. And it doesn’t disappoint.
Franks will forever have its place at my table. I don’t use it all the time but it just tastes great
It’s fine
Frank’s has it place for sure, especially the extra hot
Frank’s has one that’s a step hotter than this that’s pretty killer for me.
it’s nice when i want a really salty kick
Whatever Frank’s wants to do, Louisiana just does better
Franks buffalo on the other hand…
I’m expecting it to be good.
It’s vinegar.
Franks is great. I’ve got a jug in the fridge right now. I always add other hotsauce to it and put it on wings, but I love it. It was one of the first spicy things I became obsessed with. I was nearly drinking it at like 8 years old. 😅
I love franks. Don’t understand how someone could not like it
Honestly it’s one of my favorites. I tastes like vinegar and doesn’t have a bite. But that’s what I want sometimes.
Franks has its place.
Frank’s is great. I love the extra hot version.
God bless you. I’ll pour some straight fire over my chili, or salsa, or tacos or whatever, but Frank’s is what you put on Buffalo wings.
It’s ok. It’s just not hot to people who eat really hot sauces. I’d add some to chili or something
Out of the basic “big brand” hot sauces, Franks is my favorite. I’ve used Louisiana, cholula, Texas pete, crystal, tapatio, melindas, el yucatecos, huy fong, yellow bird, Tabasco and just about all the basics but franks has been my most consistent.
It’s OK. Definitely not hot.
Chololu and franks are top tier all purpose hot sauce
> It’s supposed to make food taste better.
Then it fails, and is thus bad…. Not everything needs to taste like vinegar… If I am using a hot sauce, it’s because I want to add heat. If I wanted to add vinegar, I have a bottle of it I can use…
I like vinegar, I like hot sauce, I like franks
Even my favorite extremely hot sauces are heavy vinegar based
I’m expecting it to be a hot sauce.
What did you think I’m expecting it to be?
If you name your child FRANK, expect a level of pushback from any community.
-Only tough people get that name.
The sauce is great. I carry it to work in my lunch box every day.
Franks is fantastic.
Franks is great, the haters are gatekeepers
It’s fine, but it has too much salt for no apparent reason.
The Xtra Hot is my go-to. It’s got that extra kick that the original is missing.
Its sour. I like sour hot sauces.
Franks on pasta with grated parmesan always hits the spot
Franks is amazing. It’s my go to and has an amazing flavor with a slight kick. Just enjoy it for what it is. If you want something different don’t buy it

I like it, the extra hot is really good and hard to find 🙁
It’s just unpleasant. There are way spicier sauces which aren’t half as pungent as this stuff. Whenever I cook with this stuff it’s like the aroma penetrates my soul. I literally only ever use it for wings, and even then there’s a few other wing sauces I prefer. It’s not awful, but it doesn’t deserve half of the praise it gets. I guess I prefer my hot sauces to add flavor to whatever I’m eating, whatever I put Frank’s on just ends up tasting like Frank’s. It’s probably fantastic if vinegar and cayenne are the only flavors your palette can tolerate.
I mean its a Tabasco style hot sauce. I prefer like any other style of hot sauce. It takes too much too make things actually hot and just makes it taste like salt and vinegar. Its not bad if you like the flavour but even the hottest franks is pretty mild.
