I used 5 and half roma tomatoes 2 jalapeños 1 serrano a little over a quarter of a white onion and 5 garlic cloves. Roasted all that under the broiler then added chicken bouillon salt pepper and lime juice. It was really good but also felt like it was missing a little something that I can’t figure out.

  1. Probably just more salt, that’s usually what it is

I love adding fresh diced onion and cilantro to a salsa like that. Consistency looks fantastic!

  3. Toast chili de arbol in a little neutral oil and add that, cilantro salt and pepper

You skipped the part where you put it in the blender

Maybe a little cumin? I also like cilantro in mine as well.

Cilantro is the obvious thing missing here that would probably take this salsa from a 7 to a 10. Unless of course you’re one of those rare people where cilantro tastes like soap.

I would also say cilantro a little bit goes a long way

I would agree even a small batch of cilantro leaves goes a long way.
