   Chateau Ferrand Pomerol 2017

   Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish brick rim.

   Fruity nose of black fruits with wood and chocolate notes.

   Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

   Dry on the palate with blueberries, red cherries, currants, plums, dark chocolates, earth, herbs and tobacco leaf.

   Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

   This is a tasty and easy drinking 8 year old Merlot based blend from Pomerol. Spicy and elegant. Complex and interesting.

   Good by itself and better with food.

   A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Aged in (10% new) French oak barrels for 12 months.

   13% alcohol by volume.

   90 points.

   $30.
