What the heck happened to Tillamook?! Why is there so little raspberry swirls? Why is the white chocolate ice cream so tasteless? The ice cream doesn’t taste anything like white chocolate. Nor does it taste like a good sweet cream ice cream because I don’t taste any milkiness from it. This “white chocolate ice cream” honestly tastes like nothing. Well, at least the raspberry swirls were good, even though there was so little of it. Plus, the ice cream itself was decently creamy. So I think I’ll give it a most generous 6/10.
PS: Haagen-Dazs’ White Chocolate Raspberry ice cream beats Tillamook’s by a country mile. I recommend getting that one instead.

I moved back to CA recently, last had Tilamook in like ~2014. I remember it tasting TOTALLY different. I for sure could be remembering it wrong but even beyond the flavor, the gummy consistency is nothing like I recall. Used to demolish Oregon Strawberry flavor, tried it a couple of weeks ago for the first time in 10+ years and threw out 3/4 of the container.
Not even a hint of nostalgia 🙁
Shrinkflation, maybe?
I got the monster flavor and it was straight up vanilla with no inclusion or anything ☹️
Their homemade vanilla isn’t quite the same anymore either 🙁 nothing is sacred
I would be livid, absolutely furious
I think Tillamook ice cream is not even mid-tier. It’s gummy and tastes cheap to me. I never buy their cheese anymore because their crappy ice cream made me realize that they sell low quality food marketed as “extraordinary” (they call themselves that).
I didn’t know until recently about the lawsuit they are facing for misleading claims about not being Big Dairy, when they most certainly are.
Recently had this and thought the same. Found more raspberry further down in the container but it has a weird grainy texture I do not like
I only came here to recommend the Hagen Dazs version but I see you’ve already been enlightened!
I don’t even consider Tilamook hard ice cream anymore. It won’t freeze solid because of some gummy additive to make it easy to scoop. That plus the lack of flavor means I stopped buying it last year.
That flavor is really good! I tried it a couple months back 🙂
it looks like it could be any of the following:
a) the base that the tub sits on as it gets filled wasn’t spinning to create the swirl pattern.
b) the ripple fingers above the filler weren’t rotating, so it all went down into the middle of the tub instead of having a swirl pattern.
c) the raspberry swirl is a puree, so it’s possible there was a slight clog in the ripple line around the end of the production run, but that’s less likely.
d) the percentage of ripple flow was set too low by mistake
tdlr: it’s most likely user error or equipment failure. it’s still lousy to get a tub with low inclusions either way. if you email them a complaint with the code on the bottom of the container along with your photo, they will likely send you coupons for free product.
