So as you can see they didn’t come out great , I’m not sure what I did wrong, as for taste wise, the SPG one had a much better flavor and cooked better, the PS one was way overdone and also did not develop a crust whatsoever, it was thinner though, not sure if seasonings had anything to do with the difference in doneness or if it was strictly my cooking skills.

I just pan seared it, on a new pan too

    Try reverse sear and invest in a thermapen

    My choice would be the one on the Right SPG. Obviously from the look and good sear.

    This is going to be 90% cooking method. They aren’t even close to the same thickness.

  5. I really dislike these “grill” pans with the raised lines. All it does is reduce the surface area touching your steak and greatly reduces the sear and crust you get on your steak. They basically steam your steak no matter how high you get the temperature, all so you can get some fake “grill” lines.

    I’d suggest switching to a regular flat cast iron skillet or even stainless steel works amazing for pan searing steaks.
