So there is no question, the ingredients are tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, EVOO, balsamic vinegar, and tiny pinches of salt and pepper. The plate is Sicilian Caleca. How do you create yours?

I prefer without balsamic. Or pepper actually. Just salt and evoo.

I just put tomatoes and mozzarella (usually mozzarella di bufala) olive oil and basil. When I use normal mozzarella I usually go for oregano instead of basil

There is no vinegar in an insalata caprese let alone balsamic.

What’s up with the vinegar? It kills the flavor of the tomato.

Italians: I always thought you were supposed to put balsamic with mozzarella tomatoes basil and olive oil. I was doing it wrong this whole time? 🥹

I’m sorry vinegar on mozzarella and tomatoes is horrendous

This offends me somehow.
Caprese is such an easy salad to make, just relying on fresh ingredients.
