Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining event is set to return with over 160 restaurants this August.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary from Aug. 15 to Sept. 30, Magical Dining will collaborate with restaurants around the city to donate to charity a portion of proceeds from preset meals. This year, the event will benefit the Reed Charitable Foundation, a local nonprofit that focuses on childhood development and literacy. The Reed Charitable Foundation has worked with Orange County Public Schools, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Winter Park Library and other local organizations focused on supporting children and encouraging their success.

“Thanks to the generous support of this program, REED Charitable Foundation will be able to further its mission and expand our impact across Orlando by ensuring every child has an educator in their life who can confidently teach them how to read,” wrote Jennifer Ford Knopf, president and founding director of Reed.
Among the plethora of dining options are 24 new additions and 15 Michelin-recognized restaurants. Each will offer three-course preset menus priced at either $40 or $60, with one dollar donated for the former and two donated for the latter.
Last year, Magical Dining raised $352,218 for charities making sustainable efforts throughout Central Florida. This year, on top of Magical Dining’s funds, Visit Orlando will also award a $3,000 donation to nonprofits in each of Orange County’s districts.
