Brought or bought? That’s the only thing I could focus on 🙈
My grandma uses these for papaya too when she's making salad
You don't even need one "specifically" for cabbage. You can just get a regular wide blade peeler and it's no longer a "single purpose tool"
that's just a potato peeler
First time I "met" Andy was with a video adding water to bacon. I naturally assumed he was a blasphemous nutter.
I have since seen the error in my (previous) ways. Andy's the type of guide that will show you the quirky detour just in case you'd actually benefit from it.
Isn't that a vegetable peeler?
I need to get one for a second cook I know. His knife skills are s**t.
So satisfying😍😍😍
Why didn't you put a link to this exact one?????
Taught it was a Cheese slicer or ost hyvel, i usually use that for cucumbers but now i got to try cabbage.
I won’t go broke on buying expensive stuff I’ll go broke on buying a lot of fun cheap things 😂
Id use that to peel most vegetables…
They're great as long as the cabbage complies.
Cabbage is really underrated IMO. It's cheap, tasty, healthy. I eat cabbage almost everyday and I don't understand why it's not more popular?
You are just the best mate Mitch…😊
Knives ?
People still eat coleslaw?
You use it by going back and forth. Not just one way stop one way stop. 😂 Good on ya. Loves
Why not just use an adjustable mandolin?
Just use a mandolin.
Could you not just use a potato peeler?
Adds to cart
For 12 bucks just buy a 4 sided manual grater. They usually have a 1 or 2 bladed side which can be used to cut cucumbers, carrots or to shred cabbage like this.
I’ve had mine for 3 yrs now, bought mine from Asian shop. Also use for thin slicing zucchini, and carrots.
btw you can do this with an ikea potato peeler
Have this , so good
Bought……………………
Got one on a recent trip to Japan they're friggin great
Where did you bring it?
To small😂
Bla bla bla
We have done this for years my mum showed me when making salt pickled cabbage.
Pen style version handles nicely on vegetables.
I need this! I make a lot of slaw.
Link?
The headshake of accepted defeat 😂
1 dollar Chinese
Tools are only single use if you aren't imaginative enough to come up with alternative ones. lol
It works in both directions btw
That just looks like a peeler
You could use that for chinese leaf and carrots. Maybe even potatoes for hashbrowns.
What I appreciate the most about it is the small storage space, it takes up.
I mean a knife is technically single use. It cuts.
You bought one then brought it to the kitchen
I may be blind, but it looks like regular horizontal peeler
lol. My mom was shaving cabbage w these things in 1990. We have replaced a few but use them for fkn everything
imagine being a "chef" and never seeing or using a simple peeler
A lot of people are asking if it isn’t just an ordinary peeler. It’s not. The serrated edge is designed specifically for shredding cabbage and it is amazing. So easy. And you can actually get it for under five bucks sometimes.
It was invented in Japan around 2000. It’s called a “wide-blade cabbage peeler” and works so well on “fluffy,”extra-fine and uniformly sliced (shredded) cabbage because of the patented serrated blade.
