  1. You don't even need one "specifically" for cabbage. You can just get a regular wide blade peeler and it's no longer a "single purpose tool"

  2. First time I "met" Andy was with a video adding water to bacon. I naturally assumed he was a blasphemous nutter.
I have since seen the error in my (previous) ways. Andy's the type of guide that will show you the quirky detour just in case you'd actually benefit from it.

  3. Cabbage is really underrated IMO. It's cheap, tasty, healthy. I eat cabbage almost everyday and I don't understand why it's not more popular?

  4. For 12 bucks just buy a 4 sided manual grater. They usually have a 1 or 2 bladed side which can be used to cut cucumbers, carrots or to shred cabbage like this.

  5. I’ve had mine for 3 yrs now, bought mine from Asian shop. Also use for thin slicing zucchini, and carrots.

  6. lol. My mom was shaving cabbage w these things in 1990. We have replaced a few but use them for fkn everything

  7. A lot of people are asking if it isn’t just an ordinary peeler. It’s not. The serrated edge is designed specifically for shredding cabbage and it is amazing. So easy. And you can actually get it for under five bucks sometimes.

  8. It was invented in Japan around 2000. It’s called a “wide-blade cabbage peeler” and works so well on “fluffy,”extra-fine and uniformly sliced (shredded) cabbage because of the patented serrated blade.
