Had Kanji Ramen for the first time in over a year. And in that time, they switched ownership. Now, Kanji wasn’t THE spot for ramen but it was good lowkey place for it. Now when I went the other day you’re seated before you order now (you would order at the register and sit after) they have newer menus, but mainly everything is the same. Now the food… I was really disappointed. The broth lacked flavor, the noodles were okay and the toppings didn’t taste fresh. The chili bomb was bitter and pasty. The gyozas were good, but those are kind of hard to mess up. Anyways, I guess the new manager saw I couldn’t finish my bowl and asked how it was and if tasted like how it did prior to the change of ownership. All I could say that it didn’t, but it wasn’t terrible. When I went to pay he asked again and said that the recipe is the same, but the way they cooked the bok choy was different.
So, just wanted to add my review here for you all. Paid 40 bucks (including tip) for two bowls and gyozas. I wouldn’t come back again.

Why would you not give an honest review when the manager asked you?
