I made store-bought biscuits yesterday for breakfast. And y’all, I don’t know if it’s cuz I’m getting older, but they ain’t that good. When I was a kid, I loved them, but they ain’t hitting on much now. Let me show you how I make Butterswim biscuits. You’re going to need 2 and 1/2 cups of flour, four teaspoon of baking soda. I mean, baking powder. I always get them confused. 1 tbsp of sugar, and two teaspoon of salt. I’m not a baker, honestly. I I I really don’t like it. I don’t like being controlled by the measurements. Now, buttermilk. Never use dairy without a smell test first. Now, you’re going to mix it all up till it looks like this. Real sticky. Now, in a deep casserole dish, baking dish, whatever you want to call it. Let’s melt a whole stick of butter in the microwave. Plop over that biscuit dough. Smooth it out. Let that butter kind of get on top. And then you’re going to precut it. It should fit nine biscuits perfectly. In the oven on 450 for 25 minutes. I’m craving sausage gravy, but my husband wanted sausage patties or a sausage biscuit. So, I made him a few first and then threw in the other half of the log. Dice it up, smash it up, break it up, whatever you call it. I think that was a tablespoon or two of butter was what was left on the dish. Flour, pepper, a little bit of garlic powder, swirl it around, then add your milk. Now, you can add as much or as little as you want. All depends how thick you like your gravy. Are they not the prettiest biscuits you’ve ever seen? And yes, I ate two. I’m a working girl. I need a big breakfast. Lord, it was good.

  1. Tip…. Don’t add milk all at once. Add a little at a time and you’ll avoid lumps and/or making it too thin on accident.

  2. I love your channel, your personality and recipes but I cringe a lot on some of your toxic ingredients and toxic kitchen items. 🤣 I'm just concerned is all hon. I was really sick with several auto immune issues, had 2 niece's die of pancreatic cancer at 42 and 48 so I started cleaning up my diet and environment and slowly replacing toxic things with non toxic items and ingredients to make sure my kids and I are healthier. There's toxins everywhere and some we can't do anything about but we can do the best we can with small changes. Every little bit helps. If you want my free ebook on toxic free kitchen swaps, let me know, I'd be happy to share it with you or anyone.

  3. I've been making the biscuits with self rising flour and heavy cream measurements are 2c of each. Best biscuits I've ever made.

  4. If you have not tried them, look up sour cream seven up biscuits. They are very similar to these but made with bisquick or Jiffy Mix. They remind me alot of the biscuits you get in the breakfast sandwiches from McDonald's. Only not as dry. Lol.

  5. I need these biscuits!!! I've never seen them like this before! They look amazing. I know, I know. I'm late to the party. I'm in the middle of a long rabbit hole 😂😂 love your videos!!!
