Buc-ee’s hot sauce selection. Rockingham County, Virginia.
Nothing special. Kind of gimmicky. Good hot food. Glad I tried it.

I loved the Arbol Chile and Garlic Bravado hot sauce, apparently the black and purple label ones slap too

They have Melinda’s but in general not even stuff like Cholula or Crystal, which are usually everywhere. It seems to favor their store brand, like Trader Joe’s. While I have no problem with store brand stuff, for hot sauces I like seeing a big variety of brands obviously.

Anyone try the dill pickle reaper?

I don’t know what it was, but the Peach Habañero was so soupy and watery when I cracked it open, meanwhile I opened the pineapple habanero and let it sit (closed with a cap) for a couple weeks in my fridge and it became a more viscous texture like my usual standard hot sauces — dill pickle reaper packs a nice punch though, the spicy pickle flavoring is definitely different from my usual choices so I gotta give them credit for that, and I use it every now and then for burgers with sriracha ketchup
Definitely not anything special, but in terms of being a chain store hot sauce, they have enough variety and punch that it’s worth trying once/being a basic daily usage sauce

The Taco Reaper is my jam. I only get to swing by a Buc-ee’s twice a year or so. It makes a special treat.

Just went to Bucees for the first time yesterday (same location) and picked up the Taco Reaper, Dill Pickle Reaper, and the 7 Pot Primo but I haven’t tried them out yet. Also picked up some of their spicy jerky which is pretty good.

They used to have an amazing Hot Sauce inventory…. but that changed a few years ago and they have pushed out all the other brands to stock their own sauce which is just… ok and not worth the $$
