Hi! Welcome back to our channel! As Summer is coming to an end and school is coming back in session We need easy, quick and fresh recipes That’ll make a healthy mealÂ
without hours in the stove Today I’m making a classic Asparagus Tart That’s easy, flavorful and greatÂ
with a side salad on warmer days So let’s begin! Let me just say that instead ofÂ
making your own cream cheese filling you can instead buy Boursin Cheese But if you don’t have that, let’s make our own! You’ll need cream cheese Room temperature if you have the time! The zest of one lemon Make sure to wash and dry it throughly Before zesting Lemon wedges for serving This will brighten up the tart once cooked But it’s completely optional! You’ll also need Grated Parmesan Cheese Fresh Chives Dried work as well! Dried Parsley Garlic Powder Oregano Basil and Onion Powder You’ll also need Asparagus for the tart I like to keep mine in cold water in theÂ
fridge to keep them from going rubbery If they have gone rubbery or limp Cut the bottoms of the asparagus And put them in cold water for a few hours You’ll also need a pastry sheet Now let’s make our filling for the tart! In a bowl add the cream cheese Followed by the parmesan cheese And the lemon zest Then Add the chives Garlic powder Parsley Basil Onion Powder And oregano! For an even easier at home recipe You can also simply combine the cream cheese with 2Â
tablespoons of Ranch Seasoning Or a tablespoon of Italian Seasoning If you want the recipe for ourÂ
homemade Italian or Ranch Seasoning I’ll link it in the description box! Now give the cream cheese a mixÂ
until everything is well combined Once combined Set aside And let’s prep the asparagus! First Chop off the ends! I always save mine in theÂ
freezer to make homemade stock! This part is optional but I like to parboil them for 2 minutes just to ensure they’re soft once the tart is done After those two minutes I transfer them to reallyÂ
cold water and pat them dry Once the Asparagus is dry Set them aside And let’s score the pastry Using a very sharp knife I simply and gently draw a line Around the pastry To ensure it puffs up how I want it to Then I like to prick the center randomly Using a fork This ensures the pastryÂ
doesn’t over puff in the center And that you get a nice Even tart Now let’s coat the bottom of the tart With the cream cheese filling Try to spread it out as thin as possible You can use the back of a spoon Or an offset spatula like I’m doing here Once you have spread the filling over the tart Top it with the asparagus You can get creative with it I like to gently push theÂ
asparagus down a little bit into the cream cheese Now let’s bake! I bake it at 400°F for about 15 to 20 minutes Times may vary depending on your oven You’re going for a golden pastry And the cheese to be golden brown as well Once done Cut it and serve! This is great as a light lunchÂ
or light dinner with a side salad This serves around 8 people with a side dish And it’s very easy and quick to whip up! I like to spritz a littleÂ
bit of lemon juice on top To brighten it up But this is optional Although I highly recommend it! For another optional flavor option You can top it with a drizzle of honey And flaky salt To give it an extra flavor boost! But that is all for today! We hope you try our recipe! See you in the next video! Bye!!
