Both are Jamet and are Cote-Rotie from the same 1999 vintage. What's the difference between the two labels?

  1. They changed labels in 2000, so the original 1999 release had the old style. Jamet often does late releases, so the 1999s with a new label would have been kept at the domain for x years before being labelled and sold. ChaptGPT reckons they came out in 2015…

    If choosing one to buy I’d go new label, since there’s less chance of it being cooked.

    NB, this is just a guess and I’m confident that someone who knows what they’re talking about will give a fact-based answer, but here’s what I think, based on a little knowledge:

    The domaine split up in 2013. Brother Jean-Paul started his own domaine and brother Jean-Luc stayed at the original domaine along with wife, Corinne, and son, Loic. I’m guessing the bottle in the first pic was held back and released after the split, which would explain why Jean-Paul’s name is no longer present and Corinne’s and Logic’s are.
