Rate my opera cake (but please be nice)


Okay guys be honest but kind because this cake took YEARS off my life 😫

This is my first attempt and it tasted pretty nice if I do say so myself… I followed some generic recipe with dark chocolate ganache, french coffee and vanilla buttercream, etc.

I don’t think it was that bad for my first try, what do you think?

    I don’t know what an opera cake is, but that reminds me of a double decker Boston Creme Pie. (which is actually a cake, so I don’t know why they call it that.) Hmmm… now I want one.

    I just watched the episode on the great British baking show where they made opera cakes! Yours looks great!! Nice even layers and the cake looks so moist! My mouth is watering😋
