This is my first time using a pellet grill. $75 On Marketplace, including a nrand new cover.
I have a Weber Genesis gas grill, Weber Smokey Mountain, a 22" Weber kettle, and a Weber Smokey Joe,
First impressions are that, after one slab of ribs, I'm happy with the purchase. The temp wasnt accurate, but I figured that out. The set it and forget it convenience of pellets is great. There was plenty of smoke flavor for me, almost too much, but I cant see needing anything more.
I just did a dry rub and did a modified 321 because of my schedule today, and while my wife really liked it, I will switch back to my normal method next time.
The grill space is small, probably 2 slabs max unless I use rib racks. That's fine for me because it is just my wife and I 99% of the time, but might be limiting for some people.
The grease pail works well. I prefer it to the water pan filled with grease on my WSM.
It will be interesting to see how it does with brisket.
The overall convenience of the pellets and the temp adjustment will probably lead me to smoke more often. I will still probably use my Genesis for burgers.
Overall I'm happy with my purchase, and glad to have it as part of my cooking options.
